Feature entertainers can bring massive energy—and massive revenue—to a strip club. But too many clubs focus on booking the feature and forget about everything that needs to happen around the show. A feature performance can elevate your entire night or expose every weakness in your operation. These three steps are essential if you want to keep the crowd engaged, maximize revenue, and turn first‑time visitors into repeat customers.

  1. Hold the Crowd After the Feature’s Set

Club owners tell me all the time: “We had an amazing crowd, but once the feature wrapped up, half the room walked out.” And every time I visit a club, I see exactly why it happens.

The second the feature show ends, get back to your stage rotation immediately. Not in five minutes. Not after a slow stage cleanup. Not after the DJ burns time with a dance special. Momentum is everything, and too many clubs kill it with their own downtime.

Your staff should move like a NASCAR pit crew. I’ve watched floormen take their time wiping down a stage while the room’s energy evaporates. I’ve seen clubs throw in a T‑shirt dance right when the crowd is deciding whether to stay or leave. That’s not strategy—that’s self‑sabotage.

Here’s the truth: many customers plan to leave after the feature show. If you don’t give them a reason to stay, they’re gone. It’s your responsibility to keep them engaged.

  1. Don’t Lie to Your Guests

Feature nights often bring in brand‑new customers. That’s great—if their first experience feels smooth, organized, and worth repeating.

If you publish showtimes, honor them. Start as close to the advertised time as possible. New customers are watching how professionally the room is run. When you hit your showtimes, you build trust. When you don’t, you lose people who could’ve become regulars.

And don’t push showtimes back hoping for a bigger crowd. All you’re doing is punishing the customers who showed up on time—the ones you want to keep. If someone arrives too late for a show, that’s fine. They’ll stay for the next one, and now they have a reason to remain engaged.

  1. Build Energy Before the Show

One of the biggest mistakes clubs make is failing to build energy before the feature performance. Your DJ plays the biggest role here.

They should warm up the crowd with consistent reminders: “We’re 60 minutes from showtime,” “30 minutes,” and so on. One of my favorite tools is a five‑song countdown. It creates anticipation and gives the room a clear sense that something big is coming.

But if you say “five songs,” you must stick to that timeline. Nothing kills momentum faster than building hype and then failing to deliver on the cue you created.

Your floor staff can help too—encouraging guests to move closer to the stage and get the best seats in the house.
