PANDA Loves Features | Simone Danalustrous

Simone Danalustrous

A great feature entertainer can make a DJ’s job so much easier by building the energy in the room! We decided to put a spotlight onto a different feature every week.

Simone Danalustrous is the two time Miss Nude North America, 2015 Miss Nude Entertainer of the Year, 2015 Miss Nude GoGo, and in 2014 was a nominee for the prestigious ED Entertainer of the Year award. She was kind enough to chat with us at PANDA about her musical choices and influences. Check back every week for a new featured feature!

PANDA: How would you describe the music in your shows?

Simone: My shows vary in many ways. Sometimes I do burlesque, other times EDM, then switch it to rock… Musically, I am all over the place, haha. But every DJ I work with seems to enjoy that as it gives them many options to work with and I always get the DJ opinion before I do a set as they know their club and what their clientele want to see or what show would best fit whatever vibe the club has going on.

P: What is the first song you remember dancing to in a club?

S: One of the first songs I remember dancing to was “Come Into My World” by Kylie Minogue. I was big into the nightclub scene and that song was a sexy hit at the time so of course I had to use it.

P: If you could only dance to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

S: If I had to dance to once song for the rest of my life it would be ” Take Me Home Tonight” by Eddie Money because it’s a song you can go fast or slow to and I mean, hey, who doesn’t love Eddie Money?

P: What is the worst song that a DJ ever played for you?

S: One of the worst songs a DJ ever played for me was “Snakes on a Plane”. It’s an actual song from the movie that got put in my play folder at my home club and it was just the worst. Took them forever to take it out of there but fuuuuuck… So. Awful.

P: What is the coolest thing that a DJ ever did for you?

S: I’ve had DJs do a few cool things for me. My first DJ ever gave me the name Simone, and I am in regular contact with another DJ in an unofficial book club. I have DJs who send me new music on a regular basis which is worth more than money to me. And every panda DJ I have ever encountered has always made me feel at home and welcome in any club I have been to.

P: Pick a great “throw back” strip club track for us!

S: Throw back track would be “The Thong Song” by Sisqo. We all might laugh now but don’t no one can lie that they loved it.

It’s an honor to be the first PANDA girl and I thank PANDA for acknowledging me as their entertainer of the week!
